I'm still in love with dark nail colours.....everyone seems to be wearing bright pinks and pastel blues but I cannot get away from the dark plums, reds and indigos!
I bought OPI Light my sapphire (don't you just love it's name) the other day, now I've painted my nails with it I had to post my thoughts of it....
As always I like OPI's brush technology, you can never have a messy finish with it, always make sure you apply two coats (any nail varnish brand) to make sure you get the full effect of the colour and chip resistance.
Make sure you use a base coat, your colour (obviously) and your top coat.
Base coat protects your nail and top coat seals everything in and makes your colour last longer.
I got told a trick once but I don't really use it as I don't like it.....a way to make sure your nails are dry is to lick your nail and see if you can taste nail varnish, if you can it's not fully dry.......................................................... yeah I thought that when I heard it for the first time too.....I don't use this but other people may find it works for them.
I use the old method either running my hands under cold water which seals the top layer and makes it harder or put my fingers in a bowl of ice cubes and water (carefully so you don't scratch your newly painted nails) again to freeze the top coat which will protect the colour.
Anyway back to the main point, I love the colour, it's a deep blue with little specs of glitter in it, it suits any skin tone and perfect from a day to night look.
There you go guys, thats a little post for you and little tips to painting your nails.
You can purchase OPI in Sally's or any other good beauty specialist shops. Prices vary and some people get discount if the have a sally's card.
