Get beautiful with a simple detox.

Hello!!!
Summer is nearly here and I have some simple, quick tips for you all to get gorgeous skin and help you feel good!

Add this to your normal daily routine for about 2 weeks and you will see a difference!

  • Start your day by drinking a large glass of lukewarm/hot water mixed with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Eat a handful of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds or almonds 2 - 3 times a day.
  • Drink green tea after each meal, it speeds up your digestion and burns some fat. It's also best to have green tea without sugar to benefit from the effects.

See, it's not too bad to add this to your routine, it will definitely make you feel better as green tea does wonders for both your body and skin.

Quick tip of the day....

Hey lovely readers!
Here is a quick tip for today!

To get the white of your nails whiter dip your nails in a bowl of freshly squeezed lemon juice....it's really that simple! Or if you prefer you can wipe the tips of your nails with a slice of lemon.
Either way the acid in the lemon will remove any stains leaving you with a gorgeous, natural manicure!

Make sure you look after your nails and always use a base and top coat to protect your nail and prevent any staining.

Lemon is also a very good skin cleanser and you can make an amazing mask for oily/combination skin that helps prevent breakouts..... more info on that in another post!

Bye for now Layla xxx

Beauty UK Blue nail polish review!

Hey guys!

Here is another gorgeous summer trend.....at first I thought it was weird but after buying a blue nail polish I thought it looked great and not like my fingers were frozen!

So, step away from Canary yellow like Chanel and make a statement with gorgeous blue nails!

I recommend BeautyUK in blue shimmer #44.....it's gorgeous, suits every skin tone and has a subtle shimmer to it! You can purchase it from Superdrug and they currently have an offer 3 nail polishes for £4.99

I'm actually wearing this right now as I'm typing, I've been wearing it for about 3 days and it hasn't chipped yet. I am wearing a base coat and top coat which does help keep your nail polish on for longer.
Individually they are priced £1.99 and you really can't go wrong with this. If you like to change colours often (as I do) buy 3 for £4.99.

Let me know what you think! Have you tried Beauty UK nail polishes? Do you like blue nail polish? I'd love to see your comments!

Summer Trend....Dip Dye tops.

Hello lovely readers,

Well I know this post isn't about make-up but I have to write about it because I love it!

This summer I think a big fashion trend that we have to look out for is the Dip-Dye trend....yep, them tops we used to make ourselves in school.....An old white t-shirt, rubber band and dip it in dye for a few minutes....but of course the ones I'm writing about a modern slightly cooler version of them.
I love the way you can wear them with anything and you can make it a day to night look by adding jewellery and high shoes!

Casual Chic: Dip-Dye top, denim shorts, sandals and a hat for the fashionistas!
Evening Glam: Dip-Dye top, White denim shorts, wedges, stack of bracelets and a necklace.

See! You can easily wear it during the day and night and after chilling on the beach all day drinking cocktails you don't want to spend ages picking an outfit for your night out!

Definitely one trend to watch this summer, you can get yours from River Island, Monsoon, Debenhams, Marks and Spencer and New Look.

Different shops vary with style, length and colour but I've picked two gorgeous colours from New Look for only £12.99!!!   You really cannot go wrong with this!

These colours suit any skin tone and definitely look amazing when you have a tan!
£12.99 from New Look. Go and get yours before they go!

Laura Geller Balance n Brighten...

Another product I love is Laura Geller's Balance n Brighten.

I first bought this when I was watching QVC and it was on a Todays special value which included an eyeshadow, mascara and lipgloss.

Balance n Brighten came with a lovely brush that is so useful for girls on the go....if you don't want to carry the compact with you, just load the brush, put the cap on and use it when you feel the need.

The unique thing about this product is that it's baked and no two products are the same.

It's not heavy and feels lovely on the skin and blends very easily.
It gives you a lovely glow but won't cover blemishes so I would say use a concealer and just lightly cover any ares you want to hide and then use Balance n Brighten over it.

You can buy this from QVC: http://www.qvcuk.com/ , search Laura Geller and it's the first product for £27.26
Or you can buy it directly from Laura Geller's website for $35.00 and here is the direct link : http://www.laurageller.com/store/face-baked-collection

Let me know what you think of Laura Geller Products below....would love to hear from you.

Quick tip of the day......

Hey guys,

Here is a quick tip of the day......

Instead of putting your lipstick on, blotting it, re-applying it, blotting it and re-applying (yes you get the idea) why not try a simpler way.
Apply your lipstick, blot lightly and run an ice cube over your lips. The ice cube cools the wax in the lipstick which acts as a barrier keeping the colour in place and making your lipstick last longer!!

I'll be posting again later on, also check justmakeupartists.com for my review of YSL's faux cils effect mascara....should be on the website in the next few days!!!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Review.....

Hey guys,
I thought to write a review about a product I have been using, Liz Earle's cleanse and polish.
I use this every morning and every night on myself, I also tend to use this on clients before applying make-up for weddings, fashion shows and photoshoots as it gives us make-up artists a clean, smooth canvas to work on.

First of all I have to start with the smell, it's gorgeous and fresh, I wouldn't go as far as saying it smells of mint but I would say it's a cross between (are you ready?) mint, lemon and freshly cut grass.....weird combination right? I can assure you it is lovely and this is coming from me who normally goes for sweeter smells!!
The difference with this and a lot of other cleansers out there is that this doesn't lather into a foam, it remains as a cream but don't let this fool you....it cleanses deep down into the pores, removes blackheads and prevents blemishes.
It also comes with a muslin cloth which I run under hot water and leave on my face until it cools and this activates the product making it more effective.
Once I have cleansed my face I run the cloth under cold water and leave it on my face again...the temperature change from hot to cold boosts your skins circulation and leaves you with glowing skin.
Oh and the best thing about it, it is suitable for all skin types including sensitive!
A lot of clients have told me that they don’t use moisturizer after this as their skin feels so soft and lovely. I always put toner and moisturizer on after any cleanse I do and just use products that work for each skin type.
I have already recommended this to my friends and use it on clients as I have mentioned above...
You can buy this from QVC where they sell this in packs of three for less the retail price. I bought the trio collection and three muslin cloths for £36.74 and p&p varies.
You can go to their website and see the reviews here: http://www.qvcuk.com/

Let me know what you think, I love this, it's a product that actually works and it's hard to find products that work for so many people too!
