Beauty tips.

Hello guys, sorry for the delay in posts, I've had a few busy days and to top it off the suns been shining in London making everyone happy! (I Love the sun - tans make us look and feel better!
Here are two very simple, effective beauty tips!

Beauty Tip: Defined Brows.

Did you know your mascara brush can double up as an eyebrow comb!? Well now you do....once you're mascara finishes, don't throw the wand away.
Instead clean the brush well and you can use it as an eyebrow comb to shape your brows once you've done your make-up.
Add a tiny bit of vaseline over them to give them a healthy look and to keep them in place. If your eyebrows are neat with a slight arch it frames your whole face and instantly makes you look younger!! Result!!!!

Beauty Tip: Soothe Sunburn.
It couldn't be easier to soothe sunburn these days with all the lotions and potions around but did you know yoghurt works the same if not better than everything else to soothe sunburn?
On holiday if you happen to stay out in the sun too long and burn don't worry!
Apply some natural yoghurt to the burn and it will instantly cool, calm and reduce swelling.Once you feel comfortable or after 10-15 minutes remove the yoghurt with a cold wet flannel.

There you go! Some simple, easy beauty tips for you.
Make sure you check out the blog every week for Beauty tips and every other day for new reviews!

Rimmel day-to-night mascara Review....

Hey guys! Well I hope you've all had a lovely, relaxing weekend. The weather was gorgeous yesterday so I relaxed in the sun and thought which product to write a review about next.

I'll be writing about Rimmel's day-to-night mascara, the 2-in-1 magic cap!
Packaging.
The first thing that I loved about this product was the packaging.
The way it's all in black looks chic and the little pops of pink make it stand out....the other think I liked was the way Rimmel have written 'Night' in a gittery colour too!
Definitey worth buying if you're a make-up junkie (like me) it'll instantly update your make-up bag.
Here's the picture below for you to see.
Hopefully you can see the slight glittery-ness (I make up my own words ha!) and also the nail colour is Rimmels Heart on fire which I have reviewed on a previous post.

Immediately taking a liking to this I thought I'd try it out being an unusual mascara with two different wands. First I tried the length wand (pictured below)
With 2 coats this had made my lashes lovely and long, I didn't expect them to be so long, they had actually reached just under the arch of my eyebrows so I was really impressed by the length and it actually did what it said on the wand cap.
I liked the feeling of the wand too, I could feel all my lashes being combed meaning no clumps and a really natural look, it would have been nice if this did thicken lashes slightly but it didn't.
I was also really impressed with how long this lasted throughout the day, my lashes were still long at the end of the day, no clumps, no irritations (I wear contacts) just lovely, long but not thick lashes.

Instead of trying the Volume wand at night I thought I would try it the next day and see how it lasted throughout the day and what look it would give me.
Love the pink! Plus- Notice the difference between the wands...this is thicker to give your lashes a defined and volumised look whereas the lengthening wand is thiner and the bristles are in the form of a comb for a more natural look with no clumps!
So the next day came along and I thought I would try the volume cap. This look was more to my taste.
Again my lashes reached to just under the arch of my eyebrow. I prefered this look as it thickened the lashes slightly and made them really long yet still looking natural.

The wand felt fine and was easy to handle considering the cap is a little bigger. You can feel the lashes being combed through which means no clumps and again throughout the day I had no irritations whatsoever.
I got a compliment on my lashes and was told they looked 'defined and natural'. This made me one happy girl!

The third day I also thought I would try both wands starting with the lengthening cap first I applied 2 coats and then 2 coats using the volumising cap.
It gave me good results but nothing too dramatic or different from using the volumising cap alone. The only difference was I had a little more length (just touching the arch of my eyebrow).
Verdict
If you're a girl who loves the natural look then without a question this is the mascara for you.
If you're like me and want the best of both worlds (a bit of thickness and length) I would say use the volumising cap alone or both together but dont use the lengthening cap alone.
If you're a girl who loves her fake lashes or loves the defined dark lash look then I wouldn't recommend this for you as it's more of a natural look mascara.
Make-up Artists.....definitely worth buying as you can create different looks and styles with this in no time using either of the wands or disposable wands (as you should!)

I'm going to mark it 9/10 as it does what it says for the daytime looks. For the night I think a lot of girls out there will want a stronger, darker look and thats why I'm knocking a mark off and giving it 9/10.
I love the packaging and the glittery effect (yes I love glitter and colour - it makes me happy) and the way you get two wands giving you two different effects.
You can buy this from Superdrug for £5.99 - you really can't go wrong with this because even if you use it for the daytime/natural look you still have 2 different wands and 2 different styles so you can play around with it and see what you prefer.

Rimmel Match Perfection review.

Hello all you lovely readers.....how are you all?
Hope you all had a lovely weekend! The weather was horrible in London, all it did was rain, rain, rain and rain! My hair didn't enjoy the weather either....it turned into a mini-afro!!!! (kind-of)

Getting back to the point I'll be continuing my reviews of the Rimmel Products and today's post is going to be about Rimmel match perfection liquid foundation - colour is true nude #303.

Packaging / Bottle
I'm going to start with the packaging, it's very similar, if not the same bottle as the Rimmel 25 hour foundation (the review can be seen on an older post I did a while back), just the writing is a different colour.
I think the blue writing looked lovely, I don't think I've seen this shade of blue on another product before and it may sound weird but the colour gives a calming feel (I did say it might sound weird).

It took a few pumps to get the foundation out but after that it worked fine. One pump gives you enough for your cheek, chin and nose area so I would say use about 3 pumps for a natural/daytime look.
If you have blemishes or scars this foundation won't cover them completely but it does give you a gorgeous, dewy, fresh look. It made my skin look so smooth even I was suprised.

I also used this on a client who wanted her make-up done for an event and she was impressed with how light this product felt so it's not just me that likes it!

I love foundations that last all day and this definitely did. Returning home after a long day and catching a glimpse of yourself in the mirror with your skin still looking lovely really does boost your mood and confidence knowing you don't have to re-touch your make-up throughout the day.

The other thing I would say is if you have oily skin or tend to get an oily T-zone throughout the day make sure you apply a light powder over this foundation.

Verdict.
Overall this foundation looks and feels lovely. If you want a natural look I would say go for this but if you have blemishes I would recommend Rimmel's 25 hour foundation which covers better.

The thing I liked most about this foundation was how easily it blended with my skin, if you're a person who doesn't have time to sit down in front of the mirror in the mornings then this is for you. it doesn't leave any lines or patches and my eyeshadow, blusher/bronzer blended perfectly.

The reason it feels so light on the skin is because of the Oxygen Compex in the product meaning it allows skin to breathe which also prevents breakouts!

I will mark it 9/10 as it lasts all day, gives your skin a lovely, healthy glow and feels like you're wearing nothing.
The only reason I didn't give it a 10/10 was because it didn't have the ability to cover blemishes. It just blended with your skin when you put more on.

For £8.99 the price is really good for the quality you're getting and the fact it should last you around 2-3 months.
The pump means no bacteria can get into the product making it hygenic....another bonus!

Well Rimmel, I really didn't expect the foundation to be that good! I didnt think it would last all day or give me such a smooth finish but it did so that's why I gave it 9/10.

Heart on fire! Rimmel prowear review.

Hey guys, well this is the first review of the Rimmel products and I'm going to be starting with the Prowear nail polish.

The first thing that caught my eye about the nail polish was the colour, it wasn't cheap looking it was more a rich, deep red that you normally find with expensive brands. So far, so good.....

Me being me (impatient) I wanted to see what the colour was like so I removed my other nail varnish, applied my base coat (letting it dry of course) and applied 327 heart on fire........ I loved it, my heart was actually on fire!

The little white dot is the reflection of the flash.....thats how shiny they were!

The application brush is without a doubt one of the best nail brushes around. Rimmel have turned the edges in slightly, giving it a curved look which means you have so much control over where the polish goes you really, CANNOT make a mess.

With one coat it looked OK but I wanted the full effect so I thought to do two coats on my fingers but leave my thumbs with one coat and to see the difference between the two.

The colour looked great, it wasn't over the top bright but it did make a statement. I really didn't need a top coat either as the shine was incredible but I aways put a top coat on regardless just to protect the colour and my nails.

* Well the first proper day of wearing the nail polish it looked amazing, the colour was as it was when I had just painted them and the shine was wonderful. No chips had appeared and I was happy.

* The second day I did the washing up, had a shower and left my house - looking down at my nails I could see little chips had just started to appear on the edges of my thumbs (one coat). I didn't really mind as the colour was still looking gorgeous and fresh.

* When the third day came along little chips had started to show up on my fingers too (two coats) again I wasn't too dissappointed as the colour hadn't faded one bit.

* Yesterday, the fourth day, I decided to take the nail polish off as there was too many chips but amazingly the colour still looked good.....the anti fade system really works so full marks to that!

Packaging / Bottle
The packaging is very simple and you can read everything clearly. You have a little sticker on the top informing you the brush is a 'Maxi Brush' and the polish is 'Anti-Fade'. The bottle is also slightly bigger than the other Rimmel nail polishes but it looks fine!

Verdict.
Overall this nail polish is really good, yes chips did come through earlier than I would have liked and I don't think this would have lasted you 10 days without chipping but the majority of nail polishes do that - even the expensive brands.

For £4.59 it's not bad quality at all....the colour is definitely anti-fade, the shine is just something I've never seen from other brands and the brush gives you the control to apply your nail polish without making a mess.

I will be recommending this to my friends as I'd rather pay £4.59 per bottle or buy 3 for 2 at superdrug as they are now and get Rimmel Prowear than spend £16.99 per bottle and get chips on the first day.

If I was to give it a mark out of 10 it would have to be...... 8/10 the only thing letting it down is that it didn't last as long as I would have liked but it is very good value for money for the product you're getting!

Rimmel...well done!

Over the next few days make sure you check the blog as I'll be writing another review on another Rimmel product!

Urban Decay all nighter setting spray!

Hello everyone!

Well I've found a product that I can't get enough of....Urban Decay's All Nighter...it's a make-up setting spray. All you have to do is shake the bottle and spray 4-5 sprays onto your make-up once it's done and that's it.....your make-up does not budge!

I used it last week on some dancers and performers, after their rehearsals I went backstage to re-touch their make-up but there was no need.....their make-up had stayed on, there was no shine and even though they were sweating you couldn't see it on their face!

Everyone was amazed at how their skin looked and it's my new must-have!
I use it on myself and have recommended it to all my friends who have agreed it's an amazing product!

Urban Decay - I love you for this product!

Let me know if you've tried it and what you think of it!

Rimmel product reviewing.....

Hello everyone!

Adorable sandals!

Well, well, well I love shopping and love it even more when I don't buy something only for it to be on sale 2 weeks later!

I love jelly sandals (yes the shoes we wore in the summer when we were little) and the fact they're in fashion makes me smile even more!

I like a pair of sandals from dorothy perkins but the only bad thing is that the picture doesn't make them look as nice as they are in real....you can get them in black or clear.

I've selected the black picture which has a purple tint to it.

All I can say is that they look sooooo much nicer in real and the best bit about is that they're on sale for £9!!!!

Visit your nearest Dorothy Perkins store or go to http://www.dorothyperkins.com/ and go to the shoes section where you'll be able to find them.
