Sunshine nail polish....Rimmel Review!

Hello everyone!
I hope you're all well and have had a lovely summer wherever you may be! Here in London we had a good summer compared to normal but we still had some rain...otherwise it wouldn't be a true British summer ;)

Don't worry though this post is all about sunshine! The nail polish I'll be writing about is actually called 'sunshine' because we need sunshine every now and again!

The nail varnish as mentioned above is called Sunshine #280....as soon as I saw the colour I thought it was lovely and would instantly update your look and of course compliment your tan!
As always I removed my other nail polish, applied a base coat (to protect the nail) and started painting my nails with Sunshine!

I have to say, at first it didn't go on as I expected, the colour was dull but I don't jump to conclusions straight away and let my first coat dry before applying another coat.....with the second coat there was a dramatic difference, the colour was brighter and more noticeable.....I liked....a lot!
I let my nails dry for about 10 minutes before thinking I wanted it just that little bit brighter and more noticeable so I applied a third coat and as you can see below it was noticeable.

( My nails are shinier in real than what the picture is showing.)

I love doing different and sometimes weird designs on my nails but I can't help but think you could do little bees ( I did say I like weird designs....I think it's cute) others will read this and think 'bee designs...is she for real!?' My answer: 'yes' :)

The lasting finish collection from Rimmel normally lasts 2-3 days with no chips appearing, if you don't do any washing up I'd say about 4 pushing it to 5 days but of course we all do washing up (unfortunately).

The other thing I loved with this colour is the fact it's not seen around that much, it's rare and I liked the way a lot of people noticed it and commented on how nice it looked....especially the cashier at the bank! She said it was a lovely colour and not something you normally see like the reds, darks and nudes.

Packaging/bottle.
Well there isn't really much to say about the packaging because every nail polish comes in the same glass container. The writing is obviously very clear to read and I love the way Rimmel have put the little heart on the bottle, I think it's a cute little touch and makes it that little bit more special and girlie!

Verdict.
Well as the other nail varnishes from Rimmel, I love the colours and the wand is really good as in all the Rimmel nail polishes. No bristles come out whilst you're doing your nails (which is sooooo annoying) theres no streaking, just even coats of colour!
The colour from Rimmel is lovely and for a high street brand you really can't go wrong, as mentioned in a previous post instead of paying £13.99 for one bottle of luxury nail polish (which still chips within 3 days) you can buy 2 or 3 different colours from Rimmel or any other brand at superdrug or boots and you can have fun with the variety. That's what I say anyway! :)
The only thing I would say is you definitely need a top coat over this colour because it's so bright you don't see it's real shine...so definitely apply a top coat!
I would give this nail polish 8/10 only because it needed 3 coats to get to the brightness I wanted it.

You can buy Rimmel lasting finish (with the cute little heart) for £2.99 from Superdrug! Buy 2 or 3 different colours and be creative! :)

Quick tip of the day - Bronzer!

Hey lovely readers.... I'm so sorry I haven't written anything on here in ages but I've been really busy and just haven't had the time!

Here is a quick tip for all you bronzer lovers out there!
When testing a new bronzer make sure there isn't too much shimmer in it as this gives you an unnatural look and obviously won't compliment your features or give you a gorgeous glow!

Finally add a pop of pink onto the apples of your cheeks once you have applied your bronzer, it just makes you look healthier and radiant!

So that's the quick tip for today...I'll be posting more Rimmel reviews throughout the week so make sure you check back!
Have a lovely weekend!

Rimmel Vinyl Max Lipgloss Review....

Hello lovely followers and readers!

How are you all? Hope you're all well and enjoying the weather...even though today and yesterday hasn't been too good....
Well I know I haven't been on here in a few days and haven't posted anything so thought it was about time I did and I'm going to be reviewing a gorgeous lipgloss sent to me from RIMMEL.

Its the new Vinyl Max lipgloss with the big wand.
The colour is the first thing that catches your eye, a lovely bright pink with a lot of depth to the colour (if it makes sense). Another thing that I managed to figure is that you can get two different looks using this lipgloss with a very easy, simple trick.
To create a natural daytime look apply some lipgloss to the middle of the upper and lower lip and using your ring finger blend it. You end up with a beautiful shimmer with a hint of colour and this instantly makes you look awake, alert, fresher and younger.....what's not to love!?

Packaging.
I love the packaging on this lipgloss, it's simple, clean and pretty for us girlies! I love the lid as its black and right on the top its clear with the Rimmel logo on the inside which I think is brilliant! I love the sparkly writing on the tube too and it looks gorgeous in your make-up bag....haha....Bonus!!!
Wand.
The wand is the main thing that makes this lipgloss stand out. I first saw the same type of wand on a smashbox lipgloss when I was watching QVC (who else watches QVC by the way?)  and I thought that it was the strangest thing ever and here I am severl weeks later writing a review for Rimmel on a lipgloss that has the same technology!!
The wand is a proper wand where you have control, it's firm and has tiny bristles meaning you get the right amount on the wand. Literally one sweep over the lips and the were coated, I didn't need two coats as the wand covered my upper and lower lip brilliantly.
My lips looked defined, plump and shiny and you really feel like this lipgloss is going to last.
Colour.

The colour of this lipgloss is truly amazing. It's called ADDICTIVE and you can really tell why!
One sweep is all you need top and bottom and you have a gorgeous colour on your lips
It's a bright pink almost fushia colour with sparkles in it that seems as if they reflect the light giving your lips a plumper, fuller look. I also love the way this colour makes your teeth look whiter!
This suits the majority of skin tones, I wouldn't recommend this if you're extremely pale as all it'll do is wash you out making you look ill.
As mentioned above you can also blend it with your fingers which will break up the colour and leave you with a subtle colour on your lips - still sparkly and plump just with less colour.

Verdict
My verdict on this product is that it lasts as long as a lipgloss should, even through food and drink this lasted me....the only way it came off was when I actually wiped it off (and then re-applied more).
The colour is lovely, bright and adds thatpop of colour that will update any look for the summer and as mentioned you can make it more subtle by blending it with your fingers..hoorah!
The packaging is lovely, clean and simple letting you read and understand what the product is very simply and the sparkly writing looks nice in our make-up bags....doesn't it girls??
The wand is lovely too and gives you full control meaning you can define your lips the way you want to and achieve the look you want for the day and time.

One thing I would like to say is that if you don't normally wear colour this is the type of lipgloss I would recommend you buying as you control how much colour you wear and slowly get bolder as you get used to the subtle colour and when you're ready apply it full-on!!  It looks gorgeous...trust me!
It lasts a long time, lasts all day, feels great, doesn't dry your lips and it's such a gorgeous colour it's worth buying it!

You can buy it from boots for £3.49 which I think is a special offer for a limited time.

Check out Rimmel's website for more colours at: http://www.rimmellondon.com/uk/
And you can also find and 'like' them on facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/rimmellondon

What do you think? Have you tried it? Love it or hate it?
Let me know...I love reading all your comments and replying!
