SOAP&GLORY: Thick and Fast Mascara Review

Well it's Monday again and lately I cannot believe how quickly the time is flying by....before we know it we'll be back shopping for Christmas presents!!!

Anyway coming back to today I will be writing  review on Soap&Glory's Thick and Fast Mascara!

THICK&FAST MASCARA TUBE

Before I start my review I want to say thankyou to Soap&Glory for sending me these products, i'm sure all you lovely readers and followers will love it!

The main thing I love about Soap&Glory is the packaging....my mum's not a fan of it but I love the old-style and quirky comments made.

It never fails to make me laugh which is wonderful for a products as it instantly stands out from the crowd and I'm sure that's why they have a BIIIIIG following!

THICK&FAST SOAP&GLORY MASCARA
Totally girlie and wonderful it looks gorgeous amongst other beauty products, in your kit, in your bag or on your vanity table!

INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BACK
The instructions always make me laugh with the sarcastic comments.
Mega pick-me up if you're having a bad day....just read Soap&Glory packages!

You can see on the side of the pack the eyes which I wanted to take a picture of me holding it over my eyes but it looked really freaky so thought not to hahaha!

The first day this came through I was really looking forward to trying it and after hearing lots of wonderful reviews wondered if it is actually as good as people say.

I applied it and really liked the look although my lashes were not as thick as I would have liked. I applied another 2-3 coats and started seeing wonderful results!

My lashes looked lovley and thick, without clumps and really long but (for those of you who know me) it still didn't beat the YSL faux cils effet mascara (which is my all-time fave) but it is VERY close to it!!

I always look at the wands of a mascara because that really makes the difference and pictured below you can see how thick the wand is.

MASCARA WAND THICK AND FAST SOAP&GLORY
As you can see it's thick which means it combs through lashes and evenly coats them which leaves you with wonderful results!! :)
Bonus points to Soap&Glory!!

SUPER JET BLACK MASCARA

I would definitely recommend it to anyone whowants lovely lashes quickly. If you like the false lash look or REALLY thick lashes then this won't work for you.
If you like your eyelashes to look dramatic but not over-the-top then definitely try it!

You don't need to re-apply throughout the day as it lasts and as it says on the pack doesn't flake!! Yaaaay!

You can buy this for £10.00 from BOOTS or SOAP&GLORY website which I have listed.
Here: http://www.soapandglory.com/

For more info make sure you like SOAP&GLORY by clicking FACEBOOK
On their facebook page you can see what they get up to in the labs, new launches and other info!!

Have you tried this mascara?? Do you love or hate??

Make sure you check back in the next few days as I have some more wonderful reviews coming!! :)

BeautyUK Posh Polish Elfstone Review!!

Peek a boo!
How are you all?? I hope you had a fun, relaxing weekend!
Well here is the second part of the BeautyUK posh polish review and in this review I'll be writing about Elfstone!

Elfstone is such an unusual colour. It's like a greeny, grey, metallic. Does that make sense? No! Thought so haha!

Maybe this will help.

BeautyUK Posh Polish Elfstone review
Elfstone nail polish review
As you can see in the pictures above it's an unusual colour and I loved it from the beginning.
Even my mum (who doesn't wear nail polish much) loved it and tried it!!

All of the 3 colours can be worn for a casual look and instantly be glammed up with some jewellery for the evening.

Like I said in my previous post this is reaaaaaaaaally hard to remove and you really need to soak the cotton pad and your nails with remover in order for this to come off without making a glittery mess!

BeautyUK Posh Polish Elfstone
Here are a few tips and tricks for you to getting wonderful looking nails.
Make sure you use hand cream daily and in the evening massage in some cuticle oil which will really help nails grow and the condition of your nail will improve.

Do this every other day and you'll definitely see and improvement!

Before you apply nail polish make sure you remove any old polish or strengthener and if you do apply hand creams let it absorb properly!

File your nails with a glass file too as it's not harsh on nails, seals the edges which also helps to prevent chips and cracks!

Once you're happy apply your strengthener/base coat and then 2 coats of polish. Finish with a top coat for the gorgeous shine and gloss.

Metallic nails
I'm not wearing a top coat in these pictures but there still is a lovely shine.

Make sure you check out www.beautyukcosmetics.com for more wonderful colours, info or head down to your local superdrug.
For £3.49 each I think it's a bargain!!!
Have you tried these gorgeous colours yet?? If so what's your favourite??

Make sure you follow me on TWITTER  Like me on FACEBOOK and PINTEREST

I've got some wonderful new's that I'll be sharing with you later on Facebook so make sure you click the link above to like and find out! :)

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hey guys, hope you're all well and enjoying the weekend so far!
I'm having a relaxed-ish weekend, I was able to sleep in longer than usual which was lovely and then I watched the qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix!

After that it was back to normal with emails and work and now I have some time to write a post and share some photos with you!

As this is the 'main' page for the blog I'm going to share the photos of some of the celebs I've worked with and the recent event I attended for Miss Monaco Grand Prix where my skincare company
LaylaD Natural Beauty sponsored the girls.

Me with the gift set box for my skincare company at the Miss Monaco/ Miss Motors event.
Me and Hugh Jackman
I love this photo.
This was taken last year when I was doing the make-up for the charity event Hugh Jackman was hosting.
One thing I wanted to bid on was to attend a premiere with him but the bidding got to £30000 and I couldn't afford that :( boooooo!

Me and Pixie Lott
Me and Blue members Duncan James and Lee Ryan

You can see more photos of my work on my Recent Work page and Press & Events  page!

Fashion Trend: Magazine clutch bags!!

Hello everyone!

Just want to wish you all a lovely weekend.
This is going to be a quick post to show you what an amazing clutch bag I saw yesterday when I was shopping in Fenwicks!

A magazine clutch bag!
I've seen them before but I've never really liked them and yesterday these designs caught my eye.
I got out my phone and started taking pictures because I wanted to show you all! hahaha.

Designer clutch bag!

Inside the clutch bag.

As you can see in the photos above the colours are gorgeous, vibrant and really stand out.
If you don't like lots of colour and don't like making a statement then this is not for you!

This would look lovely for the coming summer months teamed with a pair of jeans, vest top and ballet pumps or sandals during the day and for the evening a simple LBD with a colourful clutch like this and killer heels it would bring the whole look together!

Some people will love these designs and some people will hate them, fashion styles and opinions are different but if you do like these designs you can buy them from Fenwicks (UK) for £60

I'm in two minds whether to buy both or just the one....if it's just the one I don't know which to go for so I'll probably end up buying both haha!

Let me know what you think!
:)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend where ever in the world you are! :)

Photos and memories!

Hello everyone!
Well it's quite late here in the UK....I seem to be awake later and later each time I write a post haha!

I have some WONDERFUL reviews coming soon by 2 AMAZING brands....hopefully I'll be able to confim one brand tomorrow! *bbm dancing smiley*

For now though I'm going to write about my trip to Switzerland, Zurich last year and I loved it! Looking through my photos I decided I would share them with all of you gorgeous readers out there.

I remember walking around and thinking wow, it's so peaceful, relaxing and beautiful. The scenery was really lovely, almost like a picture you see on a postcard and think I want to be there right now!
I felt at home and would love to go back there at some point!

Beautiful Zurich - holiday destination!
A park in Zurich.
It was so peaceful and lovely walking around.

Shops in Zurich

I was there a few weeks before Christmas and this shop caught my eye.
It was extremely cosy inside and I bought a little souveneir from there.
I'll have to find a photo and show you! :)

Zurich Airport
Finally a picture inside the airport. I love this airport...I've been numerous times where I stopped to catch a connecting flight and it's a girls dream! Designer shops, chocolate shops, cosmetics shops and showers (just in case) it's really lovely and in the picture you can see the xmas decorations!

Well I've shared some photos with you and think it's time I go to sleep.

BeautyUK Posh Polish Sunstone review

Hello to all you lovely readers!! I hope you've had a lovely relaxing weekend....I was so busy working that I hadn't realised yesterday was Sunday!!

After having a relaxing bath I decided to paint my nails with BeautyUK posh polish range and for this reveiew I decided to wear sunstone!

BeautyUK posh polish sunstone

I've worn all the colours throughout last week and the main thing I have to say is that they ALL have brilliant long-lasting power.
They don't chip easily and to remove it you have to soak the cotton pad with nail varnish remover and just wrap each finger and let them soak for about 1-2 mins and it'll come off with no problem then.
Don't rub the nails as the glitter in the polish goes everywhere haha!

If you're in a rush one coat is all you need and you have a wonderful look. It's a glittery/mettalic finish which is beautiful and like something I've never seen.
Not too glittery and not too foilly (if that's even a word) it's just right.

BeautyUK Posh Polish
In the photo above I'm wearing 2 coats but you can see with no top-coat what wonderful shine you get.
Wear it during the day for instant glam...add a statement ring or bracelet and in the evening the glitter/foil effect pulls any look together.

If some of you are wondering what look sunstone is it's like a blush colour, almost peachy/bronzey but not coppery.

Another good thing with this polish is the brush is really good and easy to use, not brilliant but it coats the nail evenly which is what we look for! :)

Posh Polish by BeautyUK

If you like this then make sure you check out www.beautyukcosmetics.com for more wonderful colours or head down to your local superdrug.
For £3.49 each it's a bargain.

Make sure you check back in the next few days because I'll be writing about the other 2 wonderful colour Elfstone and Topaz!

As always you can follow me on TWITTER  Like on FACEBOOK and PINTEREST

See you all soon and let me know if you've tried these wonderful nail polishes! :)

TEASER ALERT: BeautyUK launch new 'Posh Polish' collection!

Hello everyone!
Well it's late-ish here in the UK after 1 in the morning to be precise....the weather has been awful! Rain, rain and yes you guessed it more rain!

I know I've dissappeared for a few day but I've been sooo busy with my skincare range LaylaD Natural Beauty that it's been hectic!
I have been on twitter more though and I have to say I'm kinda getting the hang of it!

Now if some of you follow me on twitter you may have seen me tweeting about BeautyUK's new 'Posh Polish' range!
It's a wonderful new collection from BeautyUK where the polish is a foil/glitter effect which is absolutely wonderful!
I liked the sound of it right away and as I've been sent 3 gorgeous colours (pictured below) I decided to post about each one individually! Yes they're THAT cool! :)

I've tried them all but worn elfstone (middle) for 2 days but can't really decided which one I like out of all 3.....
One thing I will say from now is that these are soooo hard to remove with nail polish remover!!

It's good and bad because they don't chip easily and are long-lasting but bad because if you want to wear sunstone (left) or topaz (right) you have to reaaaaaaally soak your nails in remover!

Anyway this is just a little teaser to see what a wonderful 3-part post I have coming up for you all! :)
Excited? Me too!!

Let me know what you think so far...love the idea of a glitter/foil effect on your nails? Which is your fave from the photos??
I wanna hear from YOU! Yes YOU!!!

MAC eyebrow pencil spiked review!

Hey everyone, hope you're all well and having a lovely start to easter weekend and the easter bunny brings you all lots of chocolate! :)

Lately I've been having lots of views, emails and more comments on posts so I want to say a BIG thankyou to everyone who is making this blog better!

Some of you may have seen the new FAQ page which I have created and I did this because the amount of emails I was getting daily was steadily creeping up and up!
So I thought I would be helpful and do a (sort of) questions and answer page with the most frequently asked questions!
Keep sending me emails and questions as I LOVE reading them and I do reply to everyone! :)

Continuing with post I will be writing about and eyebrow pencil which I have fallen in love with all over again by MAC!

MAC spiked eyebrow pencil
It's called 'Spiked' yes a little bit strange to call a pencil spiked but MAC know's best! It's a dark-medium colour which in my experience seems to suit ALL skin tones and All hair colours, I've used this on brunettes, red-heads, blondes etc and it has suited everyone.

On my RECENT WORK page ALL models/celebs are wearing this pencil as it's natural yet gives definition to your eyebrows!

What's the impotance of filling in your eyebrows you might ask? Well it 'frames' your face and I know a lot of people will be like 'huh, whats framing my face' so here goes!!
Eyebrows are the number one thing to work on  to bring a look together, make you look awake, alert and instantly younger.
When your eyebrows are not groomed YOU don't look groomed, your eye area looks tired, unlifted and you don't look as healthy as you could be.
(Add a touch of highlighter under your eyebrows too!)

MAC eyebrow pencil

As you can see in the photo above you don't need to sharpen it which is good and bad.
Good because you don't end up with too sharp or too blunt edges.
Bad because it's not the most hygienic thing around.
Although what I tend to do (which might be weird) after each time I use it is I cut off the end with a sharp knife leaving me with a brand new part meaning it's clean!  :)

When you twist this you can't bring the pencil back in, once it's done, it's done so only twist it till you see the tip and you can fill in/define your eyebrows!
I've twisted it more so I could show all you gorgeous readers what it looks like! :)

Eyebrow pencil
Here you can see what type of look you can achieve with this pencil.
If you like really strong looking eyebrows then you can achieve that look by lining your eyebrows in strong sweeps.

If you like the natural look like me then you can easily achieve this by filling in your eyebrows with light strokes which just about show.

If you like what you see then you can purchase this from MAC's website.

I highly recommend it but if you are on a budget you can buy Marks&Spencer's eyebrow pencil which has a blender/smudger/comb on one end which also gives you lovely, healthy looking eyebrows! I use colour cocoa!

Anyway my lovely readers, the next post I'll be writing about is an event I attened during the week where my skincare company LaylaD Natural Beauty provided goody bags for the models!

I've already had brilliant feedback from the girls using the products....I'm just waiting for the wonderful photos to come through from the press!! Wooo :)

How to: Simple Make-up

Hey everyone! I've been getting a few more views lately which is wonderful!! Keep it coming!! :)

Today I'm going to be writing about a really simple make-up look you can achieve in minutes and I'll be listing everything I'm wearing in the photos!

The wonderful products I used!

It looks like a lot of things I used but trust me in half an hour you'll look better than ever!
Make sure you prime your skin using your favourite primer...for this I used Mally Roncals pore perfector primer...I also like Maybelline eraser primer which gives you beautiful skin!

Next using your favourite foundation brush apply it all over your skin. I tend to apply and then 'buff' my skin for an airbrushed finish...you don't need anything fancy just make sure you blend it into the skin well!

Using your fave highlighter go over your cheekbones, down your nose and add a touch on your cupids bow which gives you a healthy glow!

Hocus focus soap and glory highlighter

I like hocus focus because you can apply it all over your face which 'blurs' lines and fine wrinkles plus it gives you a gorgeous glow!

I then apply my under-eye concealer and in most cases I use Garnier's roll on eye concealer which for me works just as well as MAC's under eye concealer....half the price and just as good!

Once you're happy with how your skin looks you can move onto your eyes....I know a lot of people will say do your eye make-up first before your foundation but I don't like doing it that way!

Use orb all over your eyes to even out skintone...yes all the way up to your eyebrows..don't worry it's not noticeable! haha
Taking a fluff brush for your eyes or a brush you are happy to blend with, dip it in a gunmetal/grey eyeshadow you love...I'm using MAC's gunmetal (I've forgtotten the name..oops!)  and start blending the grey with orb and pull it out to the edge slightly.

MAC eyeshadow
You don't want to to be too smokey or too obvious because it's a simple look and you'll have the pop of colour on your lower lash line!

Now the penultimate step is the flash/pop of colour on your lower lashes! Use your favourite colour, I used my fave colourful pencil from M&S £2 in the sale hahaha in turquoise.
All you do is line your lower lashes depending how strong you want it to look!

Marks & Spencer eye pencil in #turquoise
My bargain pictured above haha is the best thing I've bought from M&S! I've got two of these pencils as they provide long-lasting, strong colour and it's double sided....one end has a smoother/buffer for a smokier look and the other side is the pencil.

The final step now is your mascara and I used two, BeautyUK false lash fx in black and Rimmel scandaleyes mascara in black. I do have my YSL faux cills effet but I use that on special occassions for 'wow' lashes hahaha!

The two mascaras I used! They make a good combo...Rimmel provides the darkness and volume and BeautyUK gives you the length and combs them through. (I got these sent to me by the companies and have reviewed them for my blog!)

Next comes the cheeks....I use a bronzer and blusher, bronzer defines my cheekbones and on the apples of my cheek I used a pinky blusher which just makes me look healthier!

Laura Geller bronzer review
Laura Geller baked bronzer and highlighter in one along the cheekbones for wonderful definition that would make any celeb jealous!

Me!
You can see the green flash of colour on my lower lashes and I'm wearing MUA lipgloss in shade #2 which is from Superdrug and I bought it for £1!!!!! :)

That's it! A simple look for everyday....you can change it by a simple colour change of your pencileyeliner on your lower lashes....don't fancy green, try purple! Don't fancy purple try blue!! It's up to you!!

As you can see in the photo above the look is simple and natural yet pretty. My cheeks have the definition yet it's not harsh and the pink brings the look together whilst the highlighter works by giving your face 'light' and making you look healthy!

Below is a detailed list of what I used and where.

On my skin I used.....
  • Rimmel wake me up foundation.
  • (Not pictured) Revlon photo ready foundation.
  • Garnier roll on eye concealer.
  • Mally pore perfecting primer.
On my eyes I used.....
  • MAC Eyeshadow- Orb. (Evens skintone)
  • MAC Eyeshadow - Gunmetal (In the creases for definition)
  • Marks & Spencer Eyeliner - Turquiose (Lower lash line for a pop of colour).
  • Rimmel scandaleyes mascara - Black.
  • BeautyUK false lash FX - Black.
  • MAC Eyeliner - Smoulder.
On my cheeks I used....
  •  Laura Geller Bronzer&Highlighter on my cheekbones (Definition).
  • Virgin Vie blusher on the apples of my cheeks.
On my lips I used....
  •  MUA (superdrug brand) Lipgloss in shade #2

 There you have it!
A simple look you can use for school, college, day-to-day and for the evening all you need to do is just smoke your eyes more!

Hope you enjoy creating this look with your own little twist!

Mint choc chip nail polish 17 review

Hello everyone! I hope you're all well and having a lovely weekend where ever you are!
It's been lovely with all the sunshine we've been having here in the UK although it is a little bit colder but still the sunshine is out so it's good!
It's been a few days coming but it's finally here! Mint chocolate chip nail polish from 17!! Yes it sounds good enough to eat but unfortunatley you can't....what you can do it admire your nails every time you wear it!
Mint chocolate chip nail polish 17

I love this colour, it's simple yet a statement is made as its not a colour you would normally see.

These pastel colours are in fashion during spring and summer and will look incredible with a tan!
mmmm it sounds yummy!! I want a mint choc chip ice cream!
Before you apply any nail polish make sure your nails are free from any old polish by removing it with an acetone free remover (gentler on the nails
Apply a strengthener/base coat and let nails dry completely before applying the nail polish.
Once you're happy with your nails apply 2 coats of colour and let them dry (this is a good time to get other people doing your washing up hahaha)

When you feel like your nails are dry you can apply a top coat or wait till the next morning to make sure they have completely dried.
I tend to do my nails in the evening when I know I'll be relaxing in front of the TV and in the morning I apply my topcoat whilst I'm having a cup of coffee and by the time I'm done my nails are dry!!

The brush isn't anything special and you have to load the wand with nail polish to make sure you get an even first coat but with 2 coats it's fine!!

I will definitely be buying more colours from 17 as I'm in love with pastel right now and  have my eye on a pastel pink colour from 17 which I'm looking forward to buying and reviewing!! :)

For £2.99 it's a bargain and you can afford to buy different colours and create cool, quirky designs! I think mint choc chip and the pastel pink (I don't know what it's called) will be a really cute combo!!

Mint choc chip polish

 So there you have it!
A nail polish named like an ice cream I want to eat RIGHT NOW!!! Hahahaha! (I may actually go out and buy it)

It's a wondeerful colour that will make a statement without it being 'oh my gosh what is that' type of thing so if you do buy pastel coloured polishes make sure this one is added to the collection.
Even if you don't like wearing it on all the nail you can use it to create a cute design (polka dots) against a dark nail colour!

For £2.99 you really can't go wrong!
Make sure you go to your local BOOTS store (people in the UK) and buy it....and the cute pink colour too :p

Have you tried this colour? Do you love or hate pastel colours? Let me know!!

I want to hear from YOU!!
