Rituals Shower Foam Review!

Goodmorning everyone!
Well it's very early morning here in the UK and I have the Olympic Ceremony on TV right now!
By the time I finish this post it may have finished too lol!

My favourite part about it was the Bond & Queen part...especially when the Queen 'Jumped' out of the helicopter....I don't know why but I was in a fit of giggles!!!

This post is going to be slightly different to anything I've written before....it's a beauty product but not make-up...it's a shower gel/foam!

The flame has just been lit and the firework display came on and all I can say is 'WOW' I am proud to be British after that! A lot of people doubted if we could hold it together but I think after this you can see we did :)

Anyway back to the main point I will be writing about a company called Rituals
I got their box from 'She Said Beauty' last month (June) and it was in my box.

Foam Show Gel Rituals Review
The first time I used it I really liked it but I used it mainly on my legs as a shaving cream as it's extremely rich and leaves legs feeling perfectly smooth!

But the next time I showered I used it as a shower gel and I have to say it felt really nice and the smell is lovely and delicate.
A little goes a very long way as you'll see in the pictures below!

Rituals Foam Shower Wash Dispenser
You just press the pump a little bit and it comes out...don't keep hold of it as you'll get it all over you hahaha!

Rituals Foam Shower Gel
It actually comes out clear but as soon as it hits your skin it turns white and starts to foam!
If you apply it to wet skin it foams even more!!

This little amount pictured above ended up like this when I rubbed it on the back of my hand......

Foam Party!!!!
Hahahahaha!! Foam party anyone!?

See a little of this product goes a veeeeeeery long way! :)

If you like using products that do 2-3 things at the same time then this is a product for you!
You can use it as a shower gel and shaving gel which doesn't dry out the skin!
It leaves your skin feeling nourished and smelling lovely!

The scent is Indian Rose and Almond Oil....you can't really smell the sweetness of the almond but you can smell a delicate scent of rose....

I like this product and will continue to use it as it leaves my skin feeling really lovely!

If you would like to purchase this you can do so by clicking ----> HERE which will take you straight to the product and whats even better is that this is really affordable at £6.90

Let me know if you have tried this and what your thoughts have been on it!

This post is perfect as it's summer and we want to keep our skin looking and smelling lovely :)

New post will be coming tomorrow!

Becca's Guest Post!

Hey everyone!!

Here is another guest post written by the wonderful Becca who writes her own blog called 'Everyday Life'
I think a lot of people out there will be able to relate to this post....have you ever walked up to a make-up counter and thought 'oh oh....what do I buy?' 'What do I start with?'

Well this happened to Becca and here is her post......

Hi my name is Becca and I am the author of the blog Everyday Life
For you that don’t know me it’s my playground for all my poetry and short stories as well as book reviews and fun stuff basically what I call creative chaos.
Anyways when Layla ask me to guest post I had a ten second panic attack because honestly I know very little about fashion, makeup and beauty products but then the write in me took over and well here I am so please enjoy the post…
What are you afraid of the girl at the counter asked as I stood staring at all the makeup and skin care products before me.
It was my worst nightmare come true I was standing in what would be most girls dream come true a 75% off clearance sale of every kind of makeup imaginable and I was breaking out in a cold sweat due to fear.
I looked at the girl and tried to explain my fear but the words didn’t come how do you tell one of the most beautiful woman I had even seen that you know next to nothing about beauty.
Yes I know I was born a girl it should be in my DNA right, wrong I mean I really think that the universe played a cosmic joke on me that I was really a little boy trapped in a girl’s body.
Whatever the joke here I was in the middle of any normal girls dream having a panic attack.
It was at that moment the young girl smile serenely at me and simply whispered breathe it will be alright she said we will start small.
I took a deep breath nodded and within minutes I was leaving the store with my first purchase into the world of all things girly.
Pure ICE Nail Polish
There you have the wonderful post written by Becca. I'm sure a lot of you will be able to relate to it because I've had numerous emails from people asking me what to start off with...what make-up to use etc.
If you don't know where to start...do what Becca did and buy some nail polish! It's simple and you can easily build up from there!
Make sure you all check out Becca's blog by clicking ---> Everyday Life

Fashion, Fun & Sparkle! :)

Well my last two posts have been all about fashion and this post isn't going to be changing things either! haha!

I'm in LOVE with fashion at the moment.
Yes this is weird for me to say because I should always be in LOVE with fashion but for a few month I just didn't pay too much attention to it....comfortable t-shirts, vest tops and skinny jeans were my go-to outfit!

BUT.....this past month I've fallen in love with fashion (again) and cannot get enough of colourful things....dresses...denim shorts....cute leggings and loose vest tops!

Finding some spare time today (so happy) I decided to have a little look through some shops and came across some gorgeous things!

You may have seen one of two photos on Instagram - @laylasmakeup

I decided to take a picture of the post being written as a sneak peek on Facebook so here's the photo! :)

Sneak Peek of THIS post being written....hahahaha!

Anyway getting back to the point here are some lovely photos of the gorgeous things I saw in the shops today....I didn't realise till earlier but I took quite a lot of pictures of handbags, make-up bags and clutch bags.....hmmmm!
I think I need a new cute handbag and purse! ;)

Postcard Purse!
I LOVE quirky things that you can't find EVERYWHERE and this is one of them things. You won't find it in every single shop....it's fun, it's unique and its cute!

I love how the design is like a postcard and what's cuter is the saying 'Penny for your thoughts'
Adorable!!!!

Vintage Inspired Ipad Case
I am loving this iPad/Netbook case....it's vintage inspired with lots of pretty designs...it reminds me of little designs put together like a stamp collage which is really quirky and cute!
This fits more than an iPad or netbook in it so I would carry it with my papers, notebook and little bits and pieces I would need for the day!

Vintage Inspired Handbag!
I have a handbag similar to this and think I've already posted about it but I'll take a photo and show you in another post!
The difference is the size and the fact it has this cool newspaper flower feature on the front!
I'm not saying that everyone should like this because different people have different opinions but I thought it was another quirky piece which you can't find in every high street shop!

This is what I love about fashion...there are NO limits...NO rules and you can have FUN and be yourself!

Aztec Print Dress Design
THIS dress is a MUST-HAVE and I don't know why I didn't buy it today!
I love aztec designs and necklace designs on dresses....one less thing to wear but still looking gorgeous!
I posted this on Instagram and it proved to be popular!
The design is lovely and the colours clash but look good together (if that makes sense)....blue, pink, yellow and gold....shouldn't work but really, really do!

I'm sat here typing and asking myself why I didn't walk to the counter and buy it....what was I thinking!?!?!?!?!

What do you all think??? LOVE or HATE these gorgeous item...hahaha!

Summer Fashion - Colourful Dresses.....

Aaaaaagh!
I love colourful clothes and after seeing this on 'Facebook' thought I'd share it with you!!

This has received extremely mixed reviews so I'm going to say it's either a love or hate dress but I LOVE it!!

This is definitely something I would wear on holiday....somewhere nice and warm....stacked bangles and in flip flops with a nice cold drink and lovely colourful bag!
Palm trees and blue skies.....lovely!

Dip Dye Dress Summer Fashion!
What do you all think?? LOVE or HATE??

Summer Style....Summer Fashion...Summer Trends!

Well Summer is here but sun hasn't really shown it's face here in the UK!

I want to wear shorts, cute t-shirts, sunglasses and lots of jewellery but I've ended up wearing jeans, long t-shirts layered over vest tops and jackets!

I was looking through the internet and found this picture....I'm LOVING the whole look!

Summer Style 2012

I love denim shorts as they're practical yet fashionable and I love loose tops that you can tie up at the front for a cute, fashionable knot!

I'm in two minds about high heels as I like being comfortable in the summer! So I might wear flip flops throughout the day and then in the evening wear some high heels!

A gorgeous tan handbag would bring this whole look together and as I love being comfortable it would have to be an across the body bag....that way my hands are free to browse through clothes, eat ice cream or drink starbucks!!

Picking out the colours from the t-shirt the turquoise jewellery is perfect....you have the tan handbag which matches the top and for that extra touch of colour the turquoise will just pop...I'd wear lots of bangles with this though....some colour....some wooden mix and match!!

Sunglasses I love Ray-Bans or Aviators....I think they're really cute and would look sweet with this outfit!

My hair I would either wear it in loose waves or a high bun! Summer Chic!

Team this look up with a tan and you'll look PERFECT!!!

What do you think of this look?? LOVE or HATE??

Ugh....all the cute summer clothes make me want to fly away to Miami or LA

GUEST POST - All Things Beauty

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all well and you enjoyed the Motherpucker review! It seems to have gone down well with all the views coming through on it!! :)

From time to time I do have posts from guest bloggers who I work and talk to and here is another guest post!

Hannah has her own blog --- Miss. All-Things-Creative Click HERE to check out her blog.

I've changed the font slightly so you know where I stop typing and where Hannah's post starts! :)

So I'll let Hannah take it from here.....

Hi beauty lovers! I’m doing a guest blog for the lovely Layla so I best introduce myself - my name is Hannah and I am the creator of the blog Miss. All-Things-Creative (link below for you to check it out). I blog about various things but today I am going to tell you about my favourite beauty products from head to toe!

My favourite hair products:

Herbal Essences.
Herbal Essences Dazzling Shine 2 in 1
I love the smell of all of the Herbal Essences products, this one leaves my hair feeling so soft and looking great too.
I love the added bonus of having the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner it’s a huge time saver but gives me the same results as using them separately would.
I highly recommend trying Herbal Essences if you haven’t already.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste Dry Shampoo A Hint of Colour Light & Blonde
I only recently discovered the benefits of using dry shampoo.
I’ve seen it all over the beauty bloggersphere so I thought I would give it a try.
I love this one as it blends in with my hair colour and this allows me to spray as much as I need on without feeling conscious about having white bits in my hair.
I always go to this when my hair needs a bit more life to it

My Favourite Skincare Products

Liz Earle Skincare
Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser
I’ve always been aware of Liz Earle as numerous women in my family use them, but with them being a more pricy skin care range I only ever get my hands on them as gifts for Christmas or Birthdays.
Last Christmas I got the full set of face products along with their shower gel and shampoo and conditioner.
I have used them all and they are all wonderful as you would expect from Liz Earle but my favourite and most used of the collection is the face moisturiser.
It’s great for my skin type and even when I do get the odd dry patches this product sorts it out for me.

Favourite Make-up.

Natural Collection Mascara

Natural Collection WaterGuard Mascara Black
Natural Collection is my favourite budget make-up brand and their mascaras are awesome.
This is my go to mascara as it ticks all of my boxes: volume, waterproof, length and curl.
It’s only designed to be waterproof but I find that it does my lashes wonders and is just as good as any other more expensive mascara that I have used in the past.
If you ever need make-up that all costs under £2 then this brand is the one for you!

Miss Sporty Eyeliner
Miss Sporty Mini-Me Eye Liner Black Raven
This is another go to product for me. I will always return to this eye liner after trying out other brands.
I like this one because it lasts most of the day and is also cheap at under £3.
Another bonus is that it is a twisty-bottom so no need to sharpen it!

Favourite Body Products

Lynx Attract
Lynx Attract For Her – Limited Edition
It took me months to track this product down. When it first came out it was in such high demand that it was sold out everywhere I went. But I eventually found it and it was so worth it.
It smells great and lives up to the standard Lynx have set over the years.
I love it so much that I’ve been stocking up on it whenever I see it.

Dove Go Fresh

Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash Revive Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent
This is my favourite scent from the Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash range.
It leaves your skin feeling soft and doesn’t dry it out like some shower gels and soaps.
It does exactly what it’s meant to do and it smells delightful too.

Favourite Hand And Nail Products

Sanctuary Hand Cream

Sanctuary Hand Cream
During the winter my hands get really dry and itchy so I always carry this little tube around with me and it sorts them out right away.
It’s a lovely thick cream that smells great and it goes a long way.
They also do a Hand Lotion which isn’t as thick as the cream but I prefer how the cream feels on my hands.
OPI Nail Polish Collection
OPI Nail Lacquers
This is my favourite expensive nail polish brand.
The quality of them is worth the money and the colours and coverage are amazing.
Their glitter polishes have really good coverage too which is what you want from a glitter polish.
I would recommend these to anyone who want great quality nail polishes.

That’s it for my head to toe of my favourite beauty products, if you liked my post are want to check out my blog you can do so by visiting the link below:

Soap & Glory 'Motherpucker Lipgloss' Review!

Ta Dah!!!

It's here! Yes the review is finally here!! Weeks of my camera playing up and being busy with the skincare range I have finally managed to take the photos (from my phone) and re-write the review!

Before I start I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to Soap&Glory for being so wonderful and sending me these gorgeous products to review!

I love them all and will definitely be purchasing them when they run out!

Now the Motherpucker lipgloss is one of the products I was most looking forward to reviewing! I loved the name and loved the colour instantly when I saw it and knew it was going to be good!

Soap & Glory Motherpucker lipgloss review
I love ALL Soap&Glory packaging and this is no exception! I love how it catches your eye instantly and it's kinda old meets new! (the vintage photos with the cool fonts and colours)

As I've mentioned in a previous post I love to keep things in their original packaging and make sure everything looks new and lovely....yes weird but that's me!

The colour I was sent by Soap & Glory was 'Candy Gloss' such an adorable name!!!

It's a pinky shimmer but I have found when you apply a tiny touch of concealer to your lips you get more of a nude colour with a touch of sparkle and when you don't wear anything on your lips it turns a pinker colour with a little shimmer!

Both ways are gorgeous!!!

Reverse side of Motherpucker
Here you can see the back of Motherpucker.

It gives you some simple instructions with the ingredients listed. You also get a little before and after section where you get a little explanation of how the lipgloss works!

Side packaging MotherPucker
I like being detailed with my reviews so I've taken a side pic of the box just so you can see what it's like!
Colour all over! LOVE!!

Sexy Motherpucker Lipgloss
Taking the lipgloss out from the box it's still very neatly presented so it doesn't just drop out of the box!
The colour is really nice as you can see in the picture above but it's not exactly the same when you wear it!

When I wore it for the first time my lips started to tingle right away! I've read a lot of reviews about people saying they didn't like the feeling or it was 'painful' but I think that's stupid!

This lipgloss tingles....it's a lovely sensation as you feel like it's working. It is NOT painful!
My lips did look plumper but it wasn't dramatic like 'Oh my gosh what did you do!?'

Candy Gloss Motherpucker review
The colour is Candy Gloss....a lovely shimmery pink. As I mentioned above it comes out a very sheer pinky shimmer but if you apply a touch of concealer to your lips you get a nude shimmer so play around and have some fun mixing and matching colours!

I did take a picture of this colour on my hand but you can't really see it well!

Motherpucker Lipgloss
Here it looks extremely pale and just like a gloss but it has a subtle shimmer with a pinky tone to it!

I love this lipgloss and its something I would use for an evening out or if I want to wear a smokey eye during the day then this lipgloss mixed with a nude lipstick is what I would choose!

Sexy Motherpucker Soap & Glory Lipgloss review
The wand is like a lot of the lip glosses out there but I love the standard lipgloss wands.
It's easy to apply and doesn't get messy! Perfect!!

Overall Verdict.

I love this lipgloss. I love the tingly feeling when you apply it as it feels like it's working.
It lasts a good few hours and even through my coffee which is wonderful!
One downside would be it is slightly on the sticky side so I did have to wear my hair in a ponytail the second time I wore this purely because of the weather!
Wind + Hair + Lipgloss = Not a good match!

I would mark this 8/10 as it does plump lips but nothing too dramatic. It also tingles which is good because you can feel it working.

The colour is lovely and this does last but if you're looking for Angelina Jolie style lips then you may be a tad disappointed!

If you're looking for a plumper look or a lovely lipgloss for the day/night out then this is right on the top of the list!

Make sure you check out Soap & Glory website by clicking -----> Here

Have you tried this lipgloss? What do you think of it?? What's your favourite colour?? Let me know!!!

Colourful Ipad Cases!!!

Ever since getting an iPad for my birthday earlier this year I've been addicted to it!

I love playing all the games...looking through emails etc (I still need to learn how to update my blog on the go....)

I'm a person who loves to keep things looking new, shiny and lovely!

So I love looking round shops for gorgeous iPad cases and on the internet I came across this case which I think is really sweet, colourful but not over the top!

Colourful Ipad case
I think this is really sweet but I'm still on the hunt for that unique 'WOW' colourful case!

Have you seen any lovely cases?? Let me know!

My camera battery is low so I'll try and use my phone to take some pictures of the Soap&Glory Motherpucker Lipgloss to finally finish my review of it!! :)

Strawberries, Nutella, Krispy Kremes and a BIG Thankyou!!

Hello beautiful people!

Lately I don't really get a weekend anymore as I seem to be working overtime (I did watch the British Grand Prix) but I am loving every single minute of it and cannot thank you all enough for your support! :)

Me and the team at LaylaD Natural Beauty LOVE hearing from you and LOVE seeing all the wonderful reviews coming in!
It puts a HUGE smile on our faces so thank you! :)

I decided to come home and relax this afternoon and have been craving sweeties after seeing tweets from @Brill-Brunette about Krispy Kreme's!!
Anything to do with sweeties and desserts and you have my full attention hahaha!

So I decided to get creative with all the Strawberries I have in the fridge I started off by making Jam! Lovely, lovely jam!

Home made Strawberry Jam
Cut the strawberries in half and load it with sugar.....hahaha that's the easiest way and add a touch of freshly squeezed lemon juice!

Here is where I got creative!

After food I still had a few strawberries left-over so I sat and thought what I could do and on the side of the kitchen counter I saw my big pot of Nutella (mega sweet tooth) so I decided to chop up the remaining strawberries and add a dollop of Nutella on top.....heres the fun part!

Heating up some Brandy in a Ladle it started to 'Flame' so I poured it onto the Nutella and here is what I created!!!

Strawberry Dessert!
Hahahaha! Flamin Strawberry and Nutella!
It's a little blurry because with one hand I was pouring the Brandy and the other hand I was taking a photo so......

Thank you to @Brill-Brunette for tweeting about Krispy Kreme's! :)

This is what happens when I want sweeties....I start making things and creating random recipes!!

What's been your most random recipe??
What's your favourite Krispy Kreme glaze??

Let me know!!! :)
