Urban Retreat - Guest Post!

Hey guys!

Well I hope you all had a lovely weekend and for those of you who are in the UK I hope you had a lovely bank holiday!

I had a lovely weekend and I actually relaxed!

 YES...ME relaxing hahaha!

Ring Finger Trend - Boots 17 Lasting Fix Polish!

Hello gorgeous readers!

Well here is the nail trend post as promised!

I love changing my nail colour and creating fun looks and one of the easiest ways to add a little 'twist' is to do the 'ring finger' trend!

Chunky Jewellery, Fashion Bracelet, Ring Finger Nail Trend!

See! You can easily create a fun look and add a unique twist to your nails!

Clash colours like turquoise and hot pink for funky look....

The list is endless and you can really have fun and create cool designs!!

This is my favourite way to update my nails as it's just soooooo easy!

To create this I used Boots 17 nail polish!

17 Lasting Finish Nail Polish!

I used these two as I wanted a to wear a deep grey and on my ring finger use a pastel green almost a mint colour!

The dark and light colour clash but in a really nice way...it doesn't leave your nails looking like you've forgotten to paint one!

If you want to do this trend with dark colours make sure the lighter colour will be in a pastel colour so a pastel purple, baby pink or mint green so you can see some colour!

So as you may have seen I am getting slightly addicted to Instagram!

I enjoy taking photos of nail polishes, scenery, blog sneak peeks or if I find a cute picture I like I'll post it on there!

Well the other day I cam across this gorgeous photo and I'm on the hunt for shoesies like this!!

Leopard print high heels & statement jewellery!

Yep! Some of you will think these are disgraceful but I LOVE these shoes!

I don't normally wear high heels during the day...only to fancy events or nights out!

 I prefer to be comfortable and wear flat shoes, flip flops or boots in winter so these most likely would end up in my wardrobe with the rest of my shoe collection!

I'll need to take a picture of my shoe collection and blog about it....you lot LOVE fashion and shoes so I think you'd like it!! :)

Lifeandlooks.com - Avene Skin Recovery Cream Review!

Hello to all you lovely people reading this blog!

I've had such a busy day and lots of cool things are happening!! :D (BIG SMILES)

A week or so ago I posted about lifeandlooks.com who sent me some gorgeous products to review and here is another wonderful cream from Avene.

I've heard of Avene and my mum has used it in the past but after launching my own skincare range haven't really been using other face creams so it's nice to try them and see how my skin will look!

Avene Skin recovery Cream - Calming formula.

As you can see on the tube it is for sensitive and irritated skin. 

My skin is't really sensitive anymore...it used to be a few years ago when I reacted to a M.A.C foundation and anything I would apply to my skin made it worse!

I started to use this cream the very first day it came to my door (in a nice little parcel) and it felt wonderful and light yet left my skin lovely a soft.

My skin absorbed this cream pretty quickly so I applied my make-up and carried on with my day.

When I returned home I cleansed my skin using my own "Grapefruit Cleanser" and applied this cream straight afterwards and headed for bed. (It was late!)

As you can see in the picture below it's a little 'Squeezy' tube which is good! 

Don't press it too much as you'll get cream EVERYWHERE and it's a nightmare to clean hahaha!

Avene skincare

After a few times using this cream I realised that it started to feel a little bit heavy and left my skin feeling a little oily...you couldn't see it but I could definitely feel it.

I decided to stop using it as I didn't want to make my skin produce more oil than necessary... so I will apply this cream from time to time and when I fancy a change from my normal skincare products!

If you suffer with sensitive or irritated skin then I would definitely recommend this face cream.

 It'll provide that moisture without irritating your skin or leave it feeling uncomfortable.....if you're skin is sensitive with oily patches then I would say use it at night whilst the skin is repairing itself!

Avene skin recovery cream review

Here is a photo just so you can see what it looks like!

Your skin will love this for the first few uses then (if your skin is like mine) you may feel it 'sitting' on your skin rather than being absorbed like when you first started using it!

I would definitely buy this cream in the future for when I fancy a change but I don't think it'll be on my 'Must-have' list!

Sunshine, Colour & Starbucks!

Hey gorgeous people!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! 

The SUN was SHINING like mad here in the UK!

I had my little denim shorts out with loose vest tops and sandals.....trying to get every bit of sun before the cold and winter kick in!!

In fact I was SO happy the sun was out that I had MULTI-COLOURED nails..........really you ask....YEP!

Hahaha! Cool huh!? 

I have to say I did get a few looks here and there but I'm all about having fun! 

The best part about my weekend was that I went to Starbucks and the girl serving me said she reads my blog and loved my multi-coloured nails!!!!!!!

 I actually didn't know what to say but I thanked her and have dedicated this post to her! :)

She Said Beauty - Press Launch!

Hello lovely people!

 I hope you're all well and happy that it's Friday! 

Well I have been sooooooooooooooo busy these past few days I haven't been able to sit down properly and write good post about my time at the She Said Beauty Press Launch!

I was invited to attend as LaylaD Natural Beauty were featured in their July box and our Clarifying Skin Polish was in their wonderful goody bags which went out to beauty editors and lovely bloggers!

I do have to say though when you're a new brand not that many people want to know you and I do find it unfair because little companies need a chance to show just how good they are.

We live in a time when all we think about is brands, brands and yes - more brands but if we take a step back and look at the smaller companies we may find that they are just the same if not better quality than the big ones!

But getting back to the point I was invited to the press launch and I was extremely happy to go!

It was at the 'Soho Hotel' which is tucked away down a little street in London and it's really lovely!

I decided to wear ALL black...yes a little moody you might say but I wore pink Nails Inc nail polish just to brighten up the outfit!

I am going to be receiving some photos from the wonderful photographs Gen who has kindly said she will email me next week!

I was directed to go downstairs and go into the 'Pink' room where I would find the She Said Beauty team....not thinking much of it I went down the stairs (trying not to fall whilst wearing my high heels) and noticed a lovely pink room!

I was greeted by the team, told to sign in, got offered and drink and was whisked to other side of the room to be told about the wonderful new featured of the She Said Beauty website.

I've used PicFX to create this look but you can see how lovely the wallpaper was and I really want it on one wall of my room hahaha!!

Here is the Founder of She Said Beauty showing people the new features of the She Said Beauty website and telling us all about creating Beauty profiles, how you can 'Like' products, share your blog link, share your videos and photos!

Make-up at the She Said Beauty Press Launch

A cute make-up stand with lots of wonderful make-up....guests could have their make-up re-done during the launch and it was extremely popular!

I didn't only because I had already done it earlier in the morning but I did have false lashes put on by Let's go! lashes!

I don't normally wear false lashes but they looked SO natural and wonderful it's a little surprise because I'll be writing about them in a future post ;)

She Said Beauty Goody Bag!!!

She Said Beauty know how to spoil us lucky girls and whenever I see HOT PINK I know I'll love it!

Just looking made me laugh like a little kid on Christmas eve which can't wait to look at their presents hahaha!

Life&Looks - Roger & Gallet Bath and Shower Gel Review

Hello again!

Well I told you I would be back today and here I am at nearly midnight writing a post for you all!

I just have to say a massive thank you to everyone who has emailed me saying they love the blog, they love the posts and they smile each time they see a new post appear!

Just hearing that makes me feel so lovely because if one person out there is happy and looks forward to reading my posts then I am happy too!

I don't write on my blog because I need to or because I want to be recognised I do it because I LOVE writing and I LOVE the fact that people out there are waiting for new posts!

So Thank you to all you lovely people out there!

Last week I mentioned that I had received a wonderful parcel from Lifeandlooks.com and that I would be reviewing each products one by one so you have details for each each product and here is the very first one!!

ROGER & GALLET Bath & Shower Gel.

I don't normally review what shower gel I use or what hair shampoo I use because it never really crossed my mind...stupid - yes! 

I haven't heard of Roger & Gallet before but I love trying out brands I don't know because there could be some products out there that are wonderful and I just haven't come across them yet.

So I always like to try something at least once!

I love the packaging...it's not over the top but it looks really chic!

There is a lovely design on the product with a really lovely, simple logo. I find less is more with brands!

You don't want to overpower clients and customers with too much colour or too much writing....keep it simple and to the point and I find this does that very well!

Yep, just like any other bottle of shampoo, shower gel, skincare product you have the ingredients listed on the back with how long the product is good to use for and their details listed at the bottom!

Roger & Gallet Review

Here you can see that this shower gel is 'squeezy' it doesn't have a pump dispenser so to make it easier I just call it 'Squeezy' hahaha!!!

At first when I opened it I didn't get the full smell of the product.

 It was extremely delicate and I could just make out a hint of orange.....it was lovely but little did I know this would be SO much better when I used it in the shower!

The shower gel is clear as you can see in the picture above and when it you add water and massage it into the skin you get a delicate lather as you can see in the picture below!

I liked the fact it didn't lather so much...when some products lather a lot I feel like I'm a snow-woman! 

Cool when I was a kid...but now...maybe not so much haha!

The smell is absolutely gorgeous!!! It's fresh and light and you can smell the orange but there are also flowery notes to this scent! 

I really didn't think I would like it this much.....If only I could bottle the scent and send it out to you in little electronic parcels each time you click this post so you can smell it too!

Coming out the shower I got dressed and left the house....when I got in the car and picked up my mum she said 'Oh what a lovely perfume you're wearing...what is that?' 

I laughed and told her that it was Roger & Gallet shower gel I was reviewing and with that she was in love with the smell too!!

This shower gel will not disappoint you as it leaves your skin feeling lovely, nourished, soft and of course smelling wonderful ALL Day!!!

If you love using shower gels that have a fresh scent with a hint of flowery undertones then this is definitely for you!!

I still have a lot of this product left considering I've used it ALOT over the past 2-3 weeks and I know that once it finishes I will be purchasing it!
