Magazines & Make-up Samples :)

Well...you know how we tidy up our make-up, empty out our bags and put everything back to where it should be only to forget where we put half of our things a few days later....no!? 

Only me!?

This happens to me A LOT! 

I'll tidy and sort out my things only to forget where I've put things and my most recent example is a little sample which I got after purchasing either Elle or Glamour about 2 months ago!!

Yep...it was the month where you could buy 2-3 of the same magazine and get 2-3 different make-up samples from benefit!

I only bought one (there's no point in buying two of the same magazines just to get a different sample!) and I got the Porefessional primer from Benefit!

Outfit of the day, Smoky Eye tutorial and Jewellery!! :)

To my gorgeous readers!

Here is another Outfit of the day! 

I am trying to keep these posts up on a daily / every 2 day basis and I think I'm doing ok hahaha! :)

Today is a little bit more of a glam-post as I did a really easy, simple smoky eye too 

(make-up and tips listed below)

Outfit of the day! Bun, Smoky Eyes, Statement Jewellery, Lace top

As you can see I kept my hair really simple and put it up in a bun....I wanted the focus to be on my eyes but I wanted to keep it casual for the daytime.

If it was an evening look my hair would be down and I would have blow-dried it to give it volume and flicked out the ends to add bounce!

I'm wearing a slightly oversized lace t-shirt which has little buttons on the shoulders which you can just about see and I've teamed this up with my black jeans.

I wanted to add some fun factor to this post too so each photo has been edited differently all on PicFX! 

PicFX is my FAVOURITE app on the iPhone and perfect for bloggers or people who like to edit and add different effects to pictures on the go!

Mint chocolate chip polish, pale green nail polish, statement jewellery, bangles - PicFX

The nail polish I'm wearing is Mint Chocolate Chip by 17 and you can buy this from Boots for £2-£3 :)

Both the bracelet/bangles I'm wearing are from Greece which I bought when I was there on holiday!

I have quite a big collection of jewellery from Greece and they're all really unique and pretty but these two look good together and look lovely against the pale green!

Yep...I think this is my first black and white shot I've posted on my blog!

And here's a little smile for you haha! 

To create the smoky eye I used MAC's paint pot in black - I think it's called 'Carbon' if I remember correctly!

I used MAC paint pot all over my eyes, from inner to outer corner and up to the crease area.

 I then smudged the outer corner slightly to create a smoky effect but not too much as I wanted to keep it suitable and not over the top for daytime!

Using a little bit more of the paint I slowly ran the same brush on my lower lash line to the outer corner and blended it together.

I used MAC's 213 eyeshadow brush which is lovely to use as a blending brush too! 

Although I would have liked it to be slightly softer! 

Apply your favourite dark eyeliner, two coats of mascara and blusher then you're ready to head out the door looking beautiful!! 

(Add some lip balm to protect lips from the cold)

Here's a close-up of the smoky eye....all that was used was MAC's paint pot!

I love the smoky eye look as it's really easy and simple to do and instantly makes you look lovely!

It's also perfect for the weekend - try it!! :)

Fashionable Shoes for Autumn!

Why do us girls love shoes so, so much!?

Beautiful styles, beautiful colours and lovely quirky heels available I don't think we'll ever be able to resist a gorgeous pair of shoes!!

I was walking through a shop the other day and was instantly drawn to these beauties!!

Shoes!!! Cute Boots for winter with zip detail, button detail and lace detail!

I think these are gorgeous and perfect for Autumn/Winter!

These will keep your feet nice and warm whilst still looking super-cool!

The lace, zip and button detail are bang on trend and the heel isn't too high which means they'll be comfy and easy to wear!

I didn't get a chance to look at the price of these as I was dragged out of the shop before I went and bought them but I managed to snap a picture for you all!!

Hey Guys!

Look what came for me in the post this morning!!

I think I'm the only person that hasn't tried BB cream yet! *OHMYGOSH*

Hahaha.....never mind! 

At least I'm going to be trying it in the next few days so a FULL review will be coming soon!

I'll see what my skin feels like, what it looks like and if it really is worth it! 

Oh wait that's L'oreal....

Outfit of the day - Casual and Simple!

I am trying to keep my Outfit of the day posts up on a daily basis but I couldn't have picked at a worse time!! 

I have been SOOOOOO busy with the skincare/makeup website that I haven't had time to sit down and go through my emails!

I'm behind on my guest posts too and I feel awful so I will have to get around to them tonight and schedule them in to go live in the next few days!

My make-up drawer and organising skills seems to be popular among you with some comments, likes and even emails to ask for tips on how to make it look neat!!

Thank you all for your lovely comments and emails...there is no set way to tidy up your make-up! 

I just like to have a little pattern going on and I put things together in sizes and groups so my haircare will be together, my makeup will be in one corner, my lip glosses together and I just carry on that way!

Anyway - getting back to the main point of this post here is my 'OUTFIT OF THE DAY'

It's one of the most casual looks - a plain t-shirt and jeans!

When you wear a plain t-shirt make sure it's bright! 

I have gone for a bright yellow/green colour and worn a bright pink lip stain but its not that bright in the photo!

As you can see it's a really simple look and I didn't do a lot of put a lot of effort into this look!

I just pinned my fringe into a quiff and applied L'oreal's messy wax into my hair for extra definition!

My t-shirt is a bright greeny colour and I've picked a cherry pink lip stain to clash against the colour of my top!

When I do a bright lip I tend to keep everything else toned down so I'm only wearing a little bit of mascara and that's it!!

You can just about see my favourite ring which my mum bought me for Christmas!

Simple outfit of the day and loose wavy hair!

Here you can see my hair is in loose waves (natural) and because I couldn't be bothered to do anything to it in the morning I just pinned my fringe back into a simple quiff!

See it's easy to put an outfit together without putting a lot of thought into it!

Just team up different t-shirts with your favourite jeans and instead of ugg boots wear wedge boots!

Just little tweaks to an outfit or adding some statement jewellery can really update and change your whole look!

As I've mentioned I'm wearing Mascara and a lip stain in this picture!

My hair is natural but this can be easily achieved by using heated rollers/tongs/straighteners and wrapping the hair round!

Run your fingers through your hair once done and spray with hairspray to keep in place!

Pin back your fringe and you're done!! :)

Orofluido Hair Serum Review

Goodmorning to all you lovely readers!

I'm sat having a cup of coffee and thought to write up another review...this time it's not about beauty, not about make-up and not about fashion!

What is it you ask? Well it's about haircare!! :)

I love experimenting with my hair but as it's wavy/curly I tend to leave it natural.....there are times when I straighten my hair, curl my hair for more definition, put it in a ponytail and experiment with different buns!

I also dye my hair from time to time which obviously causes havoc to my poor hair and it feels dry especially around this time of year!

Now as I have long wavy/curly hair a lot of people ask me how I keep it in good condition and it's quite simple....I condition my hair and use hydrating masks once a week!

 A little tip I have is if you straighten your hair for a few days then leave it natural for a week or so...you'll definitely see a difference!

 Don't straighten it ALL the time! 

I did this 4 years ago and my hair ended up being in TERRIBLE condition which meant I had to cut it to shoulder length and only now has it grown back to the long length!

I ALWAYS use conditioner when I wash my hair and since receiving a sample from OROFLUIDO I've been using it on my hair and it's beautiful!

Up till this point I rarely used a serum on my hair as I thought it would make my hair greasy or make it look horrible but I was wrong!

This doesn't come out like an oil...it comes out like a very thick gel and it smells AMAZING!!!

The first time I applied this to my hair I wanted to lick it hahahahaha!

 It smells of caramel.....or caramelised bananas...it's a very sweet!

If you like sweet smells (like me) then you will absolutely LOVE this! 

If you don't then stay clear of this product!

Now getting to the main point....how does this leave my hair feeling?

I didn't think it would work as well as it did but the first time I used this I applied it mainly to the bottom half of my hair (not roots) as this is where we all have problems with split ends!

It felt a lot smoother and of course the smell was beautiful....it only lasted a few hours though...boooo!

It's been about 3 weeks since I started to use this and I use a very little amount (about a 1p size) on damp hair and I still have a lot of this product till it finishes!

If you have curly/wavy hair then I would definitely recommend this....it will make your hair look and feel smoother!

If you have fine hair then make sure you give it a go and use a very little amount...you will definitely see an improvement in how your hair looks and feels!

I made my mum use this in her hair and she liked it too but she hasn't used it since as she doesn't really fuss over her hair.....her hair always looks PERFECT!! 

Jealous lol!

I cannot comment to say if this will leave your hair feeling/looking greasy if you apply it to the roots as I have not applied it to my roots!

By what I have seen this shouldn't make your hair look or feel greasy...it should just get absorbed by hair!

Make-up, Make-up and yes more Make-up!

Hello to you gorgeous readers!

It's Monday morning and I'm sat having a cup of coffee and watching T.V!

Yesterday I decided to sort out one of my make-up drawers and thought to post a picture of it!

It was a complete mess and each time I opened it I hated looking at it! 

I like to have everything nice and neat, coordinated and pretty - yep I sound like Monica from Friends but I like being organised! 

(Funnily enough I'm watching Friends right now!)

So here is a little picture for you!

See - nice, neat and pretty! 

In the top left hand corner you can see the L'oreal Messy wax which I sometimes apply when I want a bit more volume in my hair and next to it the salt spray which I apply to damp hair when I want extremely loose waves!

I've been trying the Nivea Invisible spray but it makes me cough A LOT!!

It smells nice but I do have to open the window to stop me from coughing....sorry Nivea! I prefer your other deodorants!

Soft & Gentle (the blue one) smells AMAZING, fresh and lovely!

The red one I like to use in the evenings as it has a sweeter smell!

Next to them you can see my LaylaD Travel Size (we have news on travel sizes coming soon) - Clarifying Skin Polish which is beautiful as it has a delicate rose smell and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft! :)

Phat liner is in the corner - It's a lovely dark pencil which smudges lovely for a smoky eye but it doesn't stay in place....I do find that it travels and I sometimes end up with 'Panda Eyes' so I prefer MAC smoulder or Soap&Glory's pencil!

Outfit of the day, Simple buns and Jewellery- Winter wear! :)

Hey guys here are a few snaps of my outfit yesterday! :)

I am trying to keep this up on a (nearly) daily basis!

Simple bun, jumper and long necklace!

As the weather is getting colder you will see a lot of chunky jumpers/cardigans making an appearance!

There was frost outside this morning....I cannot believe it hahaha!!

Obviously this is me pictured above and my hair is in a reaaaaaally simple bun!

I literally put my hair in a ponytail and then wrapped the rest around my scrunchie and then used a thin band over it to keep it in place!

It doesn't sound simple but it really is!

Long apple statement necklace

This is my necklace hahaha!

 I've had this for about 4-5 years and I got it from either New Look or Dorothy Perkins!

It was about £5-6 and it's still with me today! :)

It's extremely simple but with a chunky jumper, plain t-shirt or cardigan a long necklace looks lovely as it looks like you've made a bit more effort (even if you didn't)

It's simple things like adding a bangle, a long necklace or a pair of earrings that make an outfit look polished!!

My jumper is from Marks & Spencer and I think I bought that in the sale for £10 hahaha!

All you need is a bubble bath! Molton Brown Sample

Goodmorning everyone!

I'm sat here having a cup of coffee and thought to come and write a blog post.....

Well the weather here in the UK IS getting colder...as much as we don't want to admit it but it is!

I stepped outside yesterday morning and I was wearing a long-sleeved top, jeans, ugg boots and a thick cardigan and it was lovely! 

Hahaha!

When the weather gets colder I love coming home at the end of the day and relaxing in a hot bath with lots of bubbles!

Childish - yes but it is lovely! I also like to light a little candle, get a magazine, dim the lights and relax! It's lovely....especially when the weather is getting cold!

A few weeks ago I received this gorgeous goody from Molton Brown in my She Said Beauty gift bag when I attended the launch!

I love Molton Brown and was happy when I saw this!

Molton Brown - Bath & Shower

The colour and size (sample size) made it look really cute amongst my collection of bath time products but a few days ago used it for the first time and I have to say the smell is really lovely.

It's not overpowering, it's fresh with a hint of sweetness so for people who don't like sweet smells I do think you would like this as the sweet scent is just a hint!

For those of you who like sweet smells again I do think you would like this as it's fresh with a warmth to it.....this really made me feel relaxed and left my skin feeling soft!

I only used a little amount and got lots of bubbles and smell out of it so I will have to use it again and take a picture of the bubbles...yep I love sparkle, bubbles and cute smells hahahaha!

Simple outfit, glasses, loose wavy hair...yep the glamourous life!

Well I'm sat here and have decided that I will start to post more photos of my outfits and hopefully keep it up on a daily basis!

So with that here are two snaps of my outfit two days ago!

Outfit of the day! Jacket, t-shirt, jeans, ugg boots and glasses!

Have you ever had one of those days when you just DON'T want to wear colour?? 

Well this happened to me two days ago and wanted to wear all black but had a little pattern on my top!

It had cute stars all over the t-shirt...silver stars so that added a touch of colour to the outfit but my jacket was black, the majority of my top was black, my jeans were black and my ugg boots were black hahaha!

My glasses though were a deep brown/black and my ring is a glass ring which I bought when I was in Greece! ;)

My phone seems to have overtaken my face in this photo but you can see my hair is natural...loose waves and normally that's how my hair is on a daily basis...I just let it do it's 'Own thing!'

My nail polish is Gambrini in a gorgeous pearl white and will be doing a post on it soon as the colour is beautiful!!

Have you ever had one of 'those' days when you just could't really be bothered with applying make-up, doing your hair or wearing colour???

How to put an outfit together - OWN THE RUNWAY

Morning to all you lovely readers!

If you're at work and have decided to have a sneaky little read at some blogs then hello :)

If you've just woken up with a cup of tea and you're reading this then I'm sooooo jealous!!

I prefer a cup of coffee in the morning and when I'm out and about it has to be a Starbucks!! :)

Well I've been posting more about fashion recently and you seem to be loving it...the google results, hits and emails seem to be telling me!

I love looking through their website especially the sale (cheeky) as they seem to have some gorgeous things there like these denim shorts which I have fallen head over heels for....

I love these shorts....I don't think I've said that enough yet hahaha....I would team these up with a cute jumper and wear them during the day....in the evening when it starts to get cooler I would probably change into jeans!

But these are really lovely....in the spring when it gets warmer a stroppy top and light cardigan would look adorable and then you wear them in the summer with a simple vest top (as you have the cute design on the shorts) and then around this time of year with a cute jumper!

Stud shoulder jumper - Own the runway

As I have mentioned in my WINTER MUST-HAVE post I think everyone should have a gorgeous, cosy jumper/sweater in their wardrobe and what better jumper to pick than this one!

1.  It's black which means you can wear it with ANYTHING! 

You can team this up with some colourful jeans, black skinny jeans, colourful leggings or simple leggings!

I've picked a pair of leggings which I think will go extremely well with this!

2. Studs will be MASSIVE this autumn/winter! 

You can even update old jumpers by adding studs to the shoulders, sleeves or you could even stud your initials on your top!

I would just have a plain 'L' it could stand for Layla - my name, Love, Life, Laughter....anything!

(Get Creative guys!)

This is a lovely jumper though and for £21.99 you can't go wrong!!

I would team the sweater/jumper with these leggings! 

When you team up an outfit you want it to blend together, look casual and like you just threw things on easily!

The jumper above is black and black detail is in the leggings so that instantly brings the two together and looks good....the studs are gold and you have gold in the leggings so again you've matched your outfit together!

See! It's simple things that bring an outfit together!

Chunky Cream Cardigan - Own the runway

Now to break up the black and gold I would wear this gorgeous cardigan on top (on the cold days) as it's cream it looks gorgeous with black and gold but if you look at this closely the sticking is gold which  again brings the whole outfit together!

This is lovely and I would order it a size bigger as I love wrapping cardigans around me on a cold morning....it makes me feel warm and snuggly which is perfect!

All that's missing is a nice cup of coffee!

Biker Boots with Buckle design - Own the Runway

My fashion posts wouldn't be complete without biker boots being mentioned!!

This is definitely a WINTER MUST-HAVE and probably one of my most-worn things during autumn/winter and a little bit of spring!

These are only £34.99 - one of the best prices I've seen for a decent pair of boots!

I love how the buckle and zip add that touch or rock chic to your outfit and although these look brown, they're black which brings my whole outfit together!

George Michael Symphonica Tour!

Music is something we all like....it may different types but we ALL like music!

Some of us listen to music and it helps through a difficult time in our life, other people really relate to the lyrics in songs and some of us just like to have 'something' playing in the background! 

I love it and tend to listen to it when I work, when I blog, when I drive and before I go to sleep ( yes weird but I like listening to relaxing songs before I go sleepies)

I grew up listening to George Michael and country music and although I don't listen to country music anymore George Michael has stayed with me and seems to find it's way on my iPod or every time I get in the car the radio will play a song!

So I thought what better way to end this post than with a few snaps of George Michael's Symphonica tour in Birmingham on Monday!
