Dalmation Nails!! BarryM Crackle - Nail Designs

You all know that I love nail polish!!

It's one of the simplest and easiest things to change and bring an outfit together!

Every 2-3 days I wear a different colour, different design and sometimes mix and match colours so my nails are like mini rainbows haha!

Yep - I love them!

The other day I wanted to use my BarryM nail Crackle (in black) but it's dried quite a lot meaning I don't get the best crackle effect so I had to think of different ways to get the 'Crackle' effect!

So Instead of applying the crackle like a nail polish (almost impossible when it starts to dry) I thought I would load the brush and dab it onto my nails in little dots and I have to say it looked pretty cute!

So I decided to call them my 'Dalmation Nails' hahaha!
I loved the film 101 dalmations when I was little....random!

BarryM Nail Paint, Nail Crackle and My white Nail Varnish
On the left you can see my favourite white nail polish....it's a double sided nail polish for french manicure nails...the nude has started to dry as I've used that quite a bit but the white is still wonderful!

I never used to like white nails....I always thought it made you look like you had just painted your nails with tip-ex but it started to grow on me and I love white nails now!

Especially in the summer...I like matching it with a beautiful peach colour...summery and gorgeous!

Getting back to the point I removed my nail polish with nail polish remover, applied a cuticle oil (to keep nails in tip-top condition) and let them 'breathe' for an hour.

It's nice to give nails a break every so often.
If you wear nail polish on an almost daily basis it's nice to give your nails a break, ideally for a couple of days.
But if you write a beauty blog like me you don't get so much of a chance....

Once I had let my nails breathe I applied a strengthening base coat and then applied 2 coats of white nail polish for that crisp, clean look.

Make sure you let your nails dry fully in between applications.
This will help drying time overall so it's best to do your nail polish in the evening when you have some spare time.

Once my nails had dried I then 'Dotted' my crackle all over my nails for the 'Dalmation' effect and let it dry.

Apply a top coat and you're done!!

BarryM Crackle nails / Dalmation Nails!

There you have it...you should end up with something like the picture above!

When 'dotting' your nails with the crackle just be random....don't pay too much attention to having each nail similar....it's better for each nail to be unique!

Unique is the best!

If you like this then I'm happy to do a photo step-by-step guide!

Just let me know in the comments below :)

Lots of love!
