About Me

Well it's a little bit weird writing about yourself so here goes......

I was born and raised in the North East of England and from the age of 5/6 I have been fascinated with make-up....I can even remember my first make-up product my mum bought me, it was 3 miniature lipsticks, one was red, one was brown and the other was pink!

I loved them and would always try and mix the colours to make something new and then run to my sister and put it on her, until one day I lost one which left me devastated haha!!

When I was 10 years old I moved down south, near London with my mum, sister and brother, fast forward the school years and we reach the best time of my education....the college years because thats when I got to study Make-up!!! :)

I loved every single minute of it.....once I completed my course and got my diploma I went out and looked for work.

I worked in theatre, fashion shows in and around London and also worked on photoshoots.

Then I got an opportunity to work abroad in Athens for a very well-known tv show which led to more photoshoots and in my spare time I worked as a freelance make-up artist for weddings and make-overs.

But little me being me, I missed home....so I packed my bags and came back. Since being here I have worked on fashion shows and most recently overlooked the make-up team during London fashion week's closing show working with designers 'Terrence Trout' (Blue wore their suits on Eurovision), 'Enzoani' and 'Amour Fou'.

Then I did the make-up for the Global Poverty Charity event hosted by
Hugh Jackman - One of the nicest people I've worked with!

I then worked with the boyband 'Blue' for Terence Trout's fashion show and several other events after that. 

After working with an incredible team I now have my own Natural Skincare & Mineral Makeup range named LaylaD Beauty.

I'm very happy and extremely lucky to have such an amazing family supporting me and always pushing me to do my best!
Without my beautiful mum, sister and brother I wouldn't be the person I am so I want to thank them for always being there for me no matter what!

I also want to thank each and every reader who checks out my blog every day....my blog wouldn't be where it is without you lovely people so thank you for taking the time to check out my posts and blog!
